Intel HD Graphics 4600 driver update won't install despite Action Center prompting me to update. My laptop (HP Envy 15t-j100), has crashed on three occasions due to a problem with my Intel HD Graphics 4600 driver. (example I have a HP ENVY m7-k010dx with Intel HD graphics 4600 but what is shown available to me via the automated hp driver website is a Nvidia driver,) I would like to know if it is still possible to use the windows 8.1 drivers and or firmware updates/bios updates.
https://high-powerlemon671.weebly.com/blog/fl-studio-free-registration-key. This chart compares the Intel HD Graphics 4600 with the most popular Graphics Cards over the last 30 days. Components that offer the best value for money have great performance (yellow) and a low price (green). The smaller the overlap between the yellow and green bars, the better the value for money. The current most popular Intel Graphics drivers include Intel HD graphics 4000 driver, Intel HD graphics 3000 driver, Intel graphics 4400 driver, Intel graphics 4600 driver, Intel graphics 5000 driver, Intel graphics 520 driver, etc.
Thanks for the prompt reply.
Before I made the post I had already tried the methods you suggested and still have the problem. I have even tried to download a later version driver direct from the Intel web site but the site isn't responding to the download request, it times out.
Answers to your questions are as follows:
1) HP Touchsmart 17-j-122-na laptop
2) Microsoft User Account
3) Appears only to happen with Microsoft Solitaire. I don't play many games but this is the only one that has shown the problem.
Thanks.
Scarlett solo driver. Edited to add:
I eventually managed to get HP on board and they checked my set up and decided the driver was faulty. Using remote control he re-installed the original windows 8 driver from the machine original build and it worked fine. Problem went away. His recommendation was not to update the drivers for at least 2 weeks to give HP/Microsoft a chance to improve the drivers, but unfortunately Windows update, automatically downloaded and installed the latest Microsoft approved driver in the background. I was unable to stop the installation.
Up to now, the problem hasn't re-occurred but we will need to wait and see. If it does I will have to follow the HP procedure and revert to the original driver.
Edited a second time:
Problem is still prominent.
Intel(r) Hd Graphics 4600 Driver Update
Latest Intel Drivers are incompatible and won't install, and as I have Windows 10 Home and cannot control which updates will be installed, I cannot revert to and keep the working Win8 driver as Windows update always re-installs the driver which crashes.
Intel(r) Hd Graphics 4600 Driver Update
As it only seems to affect the windows games then the answer is obvious - stop playing Microsoft games, at least until either HP or Microsoft release a working driver, and at the moment that seems unlikely to be in the near future.
